Our home city of Lancaster will celebrate the traditional annual festival with a series of free family-friendly events, which will see thousands descend upon the cobbled streets. A lively and dynamic parade is scheduled to take place on Sunday 28th January, featuring a Chinese dragon and lion and is set to be the highlight of the festivities, to mark the Year of the Rabbit.
Market Square will also come to life on the same date with live music, dance and street performances, along with food stalls serving authentic Chinese dishes. There will also be a free photo booth to create your own souvenir of the day alongside a Fai Chun writing workshop too.
Our ancient city has a strong and thriving Chinese community, including international students studying at the university, so why not come along and celebrate with us? 🏮🐇🐰🏮
